DAY 1 | LIMA
WELCOME TO LIMA: ARRIVAL, TRANSFER, AND FIRST REST IN THE CITY
Upon arrival at the Lima airport, you will be greeted by our Marvelous Exclusive Travel representative. After a transfer to your confirmed Lima hotel and assistance with the check in, you’ll be provided with everything needed in preparation for your upcoming journey.
Use this arrival day to rejuvenate yourself by resting or dine in at one of the many gourmet restaurants throughout the city.
DAY 2 | CUSCO
FLIGHT TO CUSCO: FIRST ENCOUNTER WITH THE IMPERIAL CITY AND ACCLIMATIZATION
Fly from Lima to Cusco. Upon arrival at the Cusco airport, be met by an Inca Expert Travel representative. The short drive to your hotel in the historic center will provide you with stunning examples of Cusco’s hybrid Spanish-Inca architecture.
Enjoy your day with some light exploration of Cusco’s main plaza and a cup of coca tea – the local remedy for altitude sickness – while you acclimate on your first day at altitude.
DAY 3 | CITY TOUR OF CUSCO
PRIVATE TOUR OF CUSCO: HISTORY, CULTURE, AND BEAUTY IN THE INCA CITY
Immerse yourself into the story of Cusco’s past with a private guided tour of its foremost historic sites. Start with a visit to the impressive Cusco Cathedral and Coricancha temple. Then ascend above the sea of terracotta roofs as you visit the monumental Sacsayhuaman citadel.
The afternoon is yours to spend at your leisure. Explore new flavors and pick up souvenirs at the San Pedro Market or wander the cobblestone streets of bohemian San Blas.
DAY 4 | SACRED VALLEY
SACRED VALLEY EXPLORATION: MORAY, MARAS, OLLANTAYTAMBO, AND SCENIC TRAIN RIDE TO AGUAS CALIENTES
After a satiating breakfast your guide will meet you for the scenic private drive through the Sacred Valley. Your private tour will visit the Moray archaeological site and multi-hued salt pans of Maras and delight you with the intellectual legacy of the Incas. The tour ends with a visit to the monolithic fortress ruins of Ollantaytambo but the sightseeing continues. Gaze at the changing landscapes on your comfortable train ride to Aguas Calientes, base town for Machu Picchu.
DAY 5 | MACHU PICCHU
EXPLORING MACHU PICCHU: PRIVATE GUIDED TOUR OF THE LOST CITY OF THE INCAS
An early morning rewards you with a momentous day of exploring the “lost city of the Incas”. Your private tour guide will take you through the iconic ruins of Machu Picchu, discussing the mystery and skill of its construction as you absorb the magical landscape that surrounds this important ruin. Return to Aguas Calientes for the train journey back to Ollantaytambo where your driver will be waiting at the station to take you to your hotel for some much deserved rest.

DAY 6 | Cusco to Iquitos
FAREWELL TO CUSCO – FLIGHT TO IQUITOS AMAZON.
Breakfast at your Cusco hotel. Our Marvelous Exclusive representative will meet you in time to transfer you to the airport to begin your journey to the amazon,2 hours 1/2 flight to Iquitos.
Pick up at the airport and transfer by private vehicle to Nauta port, for boarding. On the road you will enjoy a box lunch. Our staff will accompany you to your suite specially equipped with comfortable beds, pure Peruvian pima cotton sheets, cotton bathrobes, air conditioning, private bathroom with shower and amenities.
Before sailing, our bartender will serve you a cocktail prepared with fruits from the region and pisco, the most popular national liquor in Peru. Do not miss the opportunity to savor it while enjoying a full view of the river from the observation deck, or a panoramic view in the indoor or outdoor lounge.
Once we start sailing the naturalist guides will present an overview of the trip program, such as activities, routes, information on wildlife
and vegetation, the geographical and historical background, as well as other useful details. If you have any doubts or questions, our guides are always very happy to assist you.
After the welcome briefing we will enjoy a delicious brunch and have time to rest before the next outing on skiffs to Yacapana, where you will enjoy a night excursion in search of alligators, tarantulas, frogs and other species that appear when the sun goes down.
Return to the ship and dinner on board. Begin your trip with a special Peruvian dinner with an Amazonian influence. It is a varied menu that includes a vegetarian option. Please let us know of any special dietary requirements in advance.
DAY 7 | Amazon River
Amazon River > San Joaquin De Omaguas > Yarapa River > Ucayali River
At dawn, before breakfast, we will go out by boat to explore the Amazon River, where we will observe the daily activities that each community carries out on the banks of the river.
Back on the ship you can enjoy our buffet breakfast, which offers a daily selection of traditional dishes, Peruvian specialties, freshly baked homemade products and a variety of freshly prepared juices.
After breakfast we will start a boat excursion to explore the Yarapa black water river in search of wildlife.
Return to the cruise and enjoy lunch on board. Before the activity in the afternoon, the guides will give a talk about the local culture.In the afternoon, we will visit the community of Paranapura, where we will appreciate how they live and learn about their customs, always accompanied by our guides, who will act as interpreters for us.
Towards sunset, we will go in search of animals that can only be seen when the sun goes down: alligators, bats, frogs, tarantulas and other species that populate our biodiverse jungle.
Before dinner, you can enjoy live music by the band on board, which will play a varied repertoire of Amazonian, national and international music.
DAY 8 | UCAYALI AMAZON
Yarapa on Ucayali River (Black Water) – Yucuruchi – Amazon River (Origin)
Before breakfast, we will start an excursion by boat, but this time on the Yarapa River, in search of new imposing landscapes and more emblematic species of the Amazon.
Return to Zafiro for breakfast. After breakfast, we will start a walk in Yucuruchi, the area of the Ucayali River, located in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, where numerous species of native animals will be sighted.
Return to the ship. At noon we will offer lunch and then you will have time to rest before the afternoon outing, a boat trip on the amazon River, in search of the curious pink dolphins and other species. Before returning to the ship, appreciate the breathtaking colors of the Amazonian sunset.
Back on the ship, we will have time to rest and relax with live music while we make time before the presentation of the crew and farewell dinner.
DAY 9 | FAREWELL
Disembarkation in Nauta Port – BACK HOME.
After breakfast, we will proceed to disembark. On your way to the airport, visit Amazon Forever Bio Park, also known as Manatees Rescue Center, where biologists and volunteers care for manatees, an endangered species. Learn how manatees are treated and prepared for their return to their natural habitat. Likewise, other animals are also rescued, treated and reinserted in their naturalhabitat. Marvelous Exclusive actively collaborates with this dedicated organization and think tank. We invite you to do so as well and help this meaningful cause.
Transfer to the airport.
